Absolutely. We use compostable mailers and recyclable glass jars whenever possible. We’re always improving—because good flavor shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense.
Product Care & Storage
Store your beans in an airtight container, away from heat and light. Do not refrigerate or freeze them—this can dry them out. When stored correctly, they’ll stay fresh and aromatic for up to 2 years.
Totally! The oily sheen is a sign of freshness, and white spots are vanillin crystals—basically nature’s flavor diamonds. You’re looking at the real deal.
If stored properly in an airtight container away from heat and sunlight, our vanilla beans can stay fresh for up to 2 years. Vanilla paste, powder, and caviar also have long shelf lives—typically 12–24 months. Always check the “best by” date on your jar or pouch.
Product Info & Sourcing
We’re a woman- and Pacific Islander–owned small business. Our vanilla is ethically sourced from farmers in Papua New Guinea and other regions known for exceptional quality. We cut out the middlemen and focus on fair trade, sustainability, and unbeatable flavor.
Yes! All of our vanilla beans are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. While not every single item is USDA-certified, we work with farms that follow strict organic and sustainable practices.
Grade A (gourmet) beans are moist, plump, and perfect for cooking or baking. Grade B (extract-grade) beans are drier, often used for making homemade vanilla extract. Both have intense flavor—but how you use them is the key!
Our products are made in a facility that does not process tree nuts. However, if you have a severe allergy, please consult your healthcare provider before use.
Usage & Recipes
- Caviar = scrape straight into batters, sauces, or drinks
- Paste = 1:1 substitute for extract, but more intense
- Powder = perfect for dry rubs, baking mixes, or coffee
Each form has its magic. Check out our recipes & blog for inspo!
Great question! As a general guide:
- 1 vanilla bean = 1 tablespoon paste = 1 tablespoon caviar = 1–2 teaspoons powder
Flavor strength can vary a bit by batch and preference, so feel free to experiment to taste.
We sure do! Head over to our Recipe blog for cocktails, baked goods, breakfast magic, and more. We update it regularly with creative ways to use every form of vanilla we sell.
